George West Studio Pottery Black Glazed Seated Child Sculpture Dated 1969
About the Item
A charming vintage studio pottery black glazed sculpture of a seated child by George West and dated 1969. The figure is hand modelled in red clay and is heavily made and well detailed portraying a seated child holding their hands on their head. The figure has a textured finish with simply defined facial features and the hair molded from the clay in an abstract manner. The figure is decorated in black glazes and has an incised W mark to the base along with the date 1969.
