Luigi Galligani Silvered Bronze Stylized Figural Sculpture on Stand
About the Item
A delightful and stylish Italian silvered bronze sculpture of a standing figure holding their arms on their head and mounted on a lucite base by Luigi Galligani (b.1957) and believed to date from the 20th century. The hollow cast figure, probably a naked young lady holds her head in her arms and has simple features with what appears to be long hair falling to the ground. The silvered finish has oxidized giving a lovely grey patina to the figure and the figure has a simple square clear lucite stand with a supporting post over which the figure sits loosely. The figure is signed to the lower edge.
In good condition with some rubbing to the silver on the top and scratches to the lucite stand.
