Outstanding Original Art Deco Bronze Study of Hunter Panther by J Brault

About
An outstanding and very rare study of a bronze hunter and panther.
The study is set on a marble base then a wood plinth with a waterfall edge
The hunter is in a verdigris finish and the panther is patinated bronze
The study is full of movement , the hunter leaning back defensively , dagger raised as the panther poises ready for the killing leap
It is signed Brault on the foot of the panther and stamped Bronze
Backed by brown marble representing a craggy outcrop
The figures are all in excellent order , the black base has a very Fine hairline crack which doesn't change the aesthetics of this stunning figure
In addition the wood base itself acts as a strengthener so the small crack can go no further and it hasn't effected the figures or rocky outcrop at all
A stunning example of Art Deco design.

- ConditionMinor structural damages. The sculpture suffered a crack through its original black base and this has been repaired and reinforced. A new oak base was made to create total stability and the marble itself was reinforced. The crack is now visible only as a very fine hairline.
