Pair of Venetian/Murano Barbini Turquoise Exotic Bird Sculptures
About the Item
This is a matched pair of hand blown, tall and fanciful Murano "Birds Of Paradise" or Exotic Birds which stand a rare 16 1/2" tall! Cased with clear crystal over a fabulous color combination of gold and turquoise with controlled bubbles along the wings, then shading back down to gold leaf at the tail. They sit elegantly atop gold leaf infused perches facing each other for a wonderful dramatic effect. The bases are wide and heavy enough to provide a low center of gravity with no chance of tipping over.
