Large Polychromed Wood GuanYin Head on Stand
About the Item
Large antique wood polychrome GuanYin head, in Ming style but from the late Qing dynasty period. The fine features of the Bodhisattva has a clear Indo-sino influence with slightly hooked nose, high cheekbones and upward eyelid, all conveying a deep compassion. Beautiful patina of ages and some residues of polychrome at lips.
