    Surrealist Sculpture 'Girl 3' by Edward Lipski, Post Modern, UK, 2002 Edward Lipski (UK, b. 1966) is an artist and sculptor known for successfully expressing uncomfortable places in the human psyche through super-real mannequins as well as cartoonlike figures. This piece, entitled 'Girl 3', depicts a human child (female?) torso with its facial features covered in dark, upswept hair, seated on a down-filled pillow, encased in plexiglass. It is composed of fiberglass, horsehair, feathered pillow and plexi case on a wood platform base. Will be shipped in its original gallery crate. Provenance Alan Koppel Gallery, Chicago. Signed and dated. Recent solo exhibitions of Edward Lipski include Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Deurle; The Approach, London; Alan Koppel Gallery, Chicago; Entwistle Gallery, London; and Tim Van Laere Gallery, Antwerp.     A fantastic, quite whimsical, engaging Mid-century Modern abstract owl/bird sculpture/belt buckle by New York artist Albert Leon Wilson. Wilson was born in 1920 in Jamaica, New York. In the mid-1950s he relocated to Rochester, New York, where he worked until 1967 as an art director, illustrator, and photographer, winning over 20 graphic art awards from the Rochester Society of Communicating Artists. Afterward, he found his calling working with welded and bent metals and designing abstract sculptures often featuring figures and animals. He passed away in 1999. This unique and rather heavy piece is signed and dated (1968) with Wilson's traditional imprint/stamp.
