Antique under the Water School Specimen

About the Item

Antique under the water school specimen. An antique natural wunderkammer glass display with marine life in the depths of the sea. The specimen is set up like an aquarium with sea stars, sea urchin, fishes, prawn, crustaceans, plants, stones ..... . a detailed and decorative example from ca. 1900. It was used as teaching material in German schools. Old paper lable of the maker Köster & co, Lehrmittelanstalt, Muenchen(Munich)-Stuttgart. The front and the back of the case made of glass, the other sides are wood.
