Memento Mori, Oil on Agate, Germany Beginning XVIII Century
About the Item
Memento Mori for Wunderkammer, depicting a skull and a tulip, oil paintings on hard stone. A large specimen of oval-shaped natural agate, with a black wooden frame, is mounted on a base of the same wood with an agate inlay. A bronze candle holder is placed in the rear part to illuminate the agate. Germany early XVIII century.
