About the Item
Born in Sicily in 1941, Arturo DiModica is best known for installing his bronze sculpture "Charging Bull" near the New York Stock Exchange in lower Manhattan in 1989 at his own expense. Initially impounded by police, the sculpture was permanently installed in its original spot as a result of public outcry at its removal. He resides in New York City.
