Absolutely a beautiful and unusual shape demijohn or carboy. The name carboy originates from the Persian word; qarabah. Demijohn's come from the French for, dame-jeanne, or Lady Jane and comes from around 1700 and refers to any glass bottle, with a large body, capable of holding from 5 and 16 gallons of liquid and a small neck.
