Barbini Murano Sommerso Blue Orange Italian Art Glass Perfume Cologne Bottle
About the Item
Beautiful large vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso aqua blue over orange Italian art glass perfume bottle. Documented to master glass artist and designer Alfredo Barbini. Published in his Weil Ceramics and Glass catalog. The bottle has a large bulbous shape. It is made of very thick glass, with original stopper. The piece has a high UV reactive or Uranium glass within, making it glow under a black light (see last photo). Would make a great display piece on any table or vanity. Mid-century era. Measures 7 1/4" tall x 5 1/2" long x 4" wide.
