Antique Japanese Edo Period Cloisonne Enamel Jar

About the Item

A antique Japanese late Edo Period lidded enamel jar. The jar has a globular shaped body. The exterior of the vase is adorned with medallions with various geometrical patterns surrounded by floral and foliage motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck is decorated with a cloud pattern made in the Cloisonne technique. The lid features a traditional Greek motif made in the Cloisonne technique. Marked on the bottom.
