Antique Chinese Wine Jar

About the Item

Chinese earthen ware storage jar. 19th century stoneware large black glaze storage jar. Excellent shape having wide raised mouth opening with flared rim spout on domed edged top tapering to narrowed bottom. The black glaze has significant depth adding to the beauty of the shape. Hand work is visible throughout. Very nice glaze showing age and use. These types of jars where used to store wines, grains, and other pourable items. In good condition showing age and use. Can be used inside or outside.
