Satsuma Tea Caddy and Cover Meiji Era, Late 19th Century

A satsuma tea caddy and cover Meiji era, late 19th century, together with, Tea caddy, The first painted in polychrome enamels and gilt on a clear crackled ground with sages in a garden, one reading from a hand scroll. all in a heart shaped cartouches, the sides between each panel and the cover have been decorated in a fine gilded honeycomb diaper pattern. Restorations to the cover, otherwise in good condition Measures: 5 1/8 in.(13cm.) high, 3 5/8 in.(9.2cm.) diameter. Cup and saucer, painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with Rakan Immortals and Dragons. Dragon shaped handle. marked with the Shimazu Crest and Hakuzan ? ? Small restoration to the rim of the saucer the rest in good condition. Measures: saucer 5 3/8 in.(13.6 cm.) diameter. cup 1 3/4 in.(4.5 cm.) high.,3 1/2 in.(9cm.) diameter.
