19th Century French Napoleon III Mother of Pearl and Painted Jardinière
About the Item
This colorful antique jardinière was created in France, circa 1880. Standing on a scalloped apron, the rectangular planter features pierced scrolled decor on all four sides, and is decorated with inlay mother of pearl motifs including a hand painted floral medallion on each panel. The large blackened flower pot is in excellent condition with rich patinated colors in the pink, orange and green palette. Fill up this elegant cache pot with dried flowers to decorate a dining table.
