Early 20th Century French Hand Painted Faience Jardinière from Normandy

About the Item

Decorate a table or a mantel with this elegant, Louis XV bowed jardinière. Crafted in northern France, circa 1920, and oblong in shape, this antique planter sits on four scrolled feet; the large vessel features handles on both sides and expressive, sculpted intricate details. The ceramic piece is decorated with a floral motif in a blue, yellow, white and red palette, embellished with the coat of arms of Paris on one side, and a Briton gentleman on the other. This oval cache pot is in excellent condition with rich colors and includes painted decor on the inside. Measures: 19" W x 10" W x 7.5" H.
