Vintage Mexican Mole Cooking Pot with 'Fire-Dog' Feet
About the Item
A Mexican cooking pot with "fire-dog" feet from the mid-20th century. This vintage clay two-handled pot from Mexico has a rounded bottom, and wonderful old patina throughout showing it's history of age and use. We have paired this large-sized pot and raised it upon a set of three terracotta "fire-dogs" which are named such given their cute dog-shaped bodies. The pot can be placed with the dogs facing inward, or outward, it really is just a matter of preference (see images for more detail on this). This pot would have originally been used in cooking large batches of mole or beans, but with the addition of the feet we think it makes for a delightfully rustic decorative item for your home or covered porch.
