French 19th Century Grand Tour Period Patinated Bronze Urn
About the Item
A handsome French 19th century Grand Tour period patinated bronze urn. The urn is raised by a mottled square base below the fluted socle pedestal. The body is decorated with richly chased foliate patterns and a striking Greek key design. At each side are impressive wild boar below double headed handsome bearded men and beautiful maiden faces. At the rim are fine and details foliate patterns and a decorative beaded band. Also finished on the inside. All original patina throughout.
