Midcentury Horn Shaped Church Vase in Brass, 1940s

About the Item

Unusual sculptural horn shaped flower vase made from solid partially hammered brass. This vase came out of a church in Thorstup located in the southern part Denmark. It was used for storing the most prominent Bouquet of flowers during Funerals, Weddings etc. It was manufactured locally during the 1940s by an anonymous metalworker. This vase has not been polished recently but it can be polished up to a full shine with little effort.
