1950s Soholm Ceramic Pottery Set by Holm Sorensen and Svend Aage Jensen, Denmark


A gorgeous three-piece Soholm "Burgundia" ceramic pottery set from the 1950s designed by Holm Sorensen and hand decorated by Svend Aage Jensen of Denmark. Pieces in the set include a single bud vase (2057-3), double bud vase (2038) and rectangular plate (2026) all of which have a satin black base glaze with hand-painted geometric decoration in white, yellow and blue. Each piece is marked as well as numbered on the bottom and is in excellent condition. A classic example of Scandinavian decor from the Mid-Century Modern era. Measurements: Single vase (2057-3): 2 3/4" diameter x 10 1/2" high. Double vase (2038): 6 1/4" wide X 2 1/2" deep x 8 high. Plate 16" Long x 9 3/4" wide x 2 1/4" high.
