About the Item

A Stylish Example of a Fine Pair of Hand Cut Full Lead Crystal Mantle Lusters or Candlesticks of outstanding heavy gauge quality and medium size proportions, all though unmarked were made in our opinion in Ireland by the World-famous Irish Glass Company Waterford Crystal, Waterford, County Tipperary. Mid to late Nineteenth Century, possibly earlier. The unusual bulbous ring turned Regency cut circular central supports with deep cut star pattern bases and circular decorative tops, each with twelve suspending spear cut prisms below twin circular diamond cut buttons. Condition: Good condition for such early items, possibly never used, all prisms and buttons are original and present. Wonderful evidence of age wear at bases underneath. Plese note two later Ormolu protective drip pans have been added. Height: 6.25" (16cm). Diameter: (top rim) 3.75" (9.5cm). Location: Dublin City, Ireland.
