Eiler Londal Danico Skronvirke Art Pottery Abstract Vase

About the Item

An exceptional and scarce Danish Art Nouveau abstract stylized floral decorated vase by Eiler Londal for Danico and dating between 1900 and 1929 believed to be an early example. This stylish and unusual shaped vase stands on a wide skirted with a narrower lower body with a wide bowl shaped top. The vase is hand painted in thick rich glazes with trailing patterns applied and repeated around the body of the vase described as Skonvirke style in tones of red and white on a deep brown black glazed ground. The vase has an impressed makers mark to the base along with an incised number 60 and probably an early example. A wonderful addition to any traditional or contemporary interior. Provenance: The British art market. In good condition.
