Minton Secessionist Ware Vase Number 41

About the Item

This Minton Secessionist ware vase stands 176 mm (7 inches) high, and has a diameter at the base of 90 mm (3.5 inches). This design is illustrated in the Minton Seccessionist catalogue of 1902 as vase number 41. Designed by John Wadsworth and Leon Solon, Minton Secessionist ware was Minton's tube lined Art Nouveau range of the period just preceding World War 1. It is in very good condition apart from from some very fine crazing, with the colours remaining vibrant. There is a date mark on the base, under the glaze, but it is illegible. C1902-10.
