Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso “A Stelle” Murano Glass Vase, Italy, 1937

About the Item

Exceptional Murano glass vase from the celebrated “A Stelle” series, designed by Ercole Barovier and produced by Barovier & Toso in Italy, circa 1937. Executed in thick, heavy colorless glass, the vase features a rich “bullicante” texture with controlled air bubbles enclosed within the body, creating remarkable depth and luminosity. The rounded form is entirely adorned with applied star-shaped motifs in high relief, giving the surface a sculptural and tactile quality characteristic of Barovier’s most experimental works of the 1930s. The short cylindrical neck is finely textured, enhancing the contrast between transparency and decoration. This rare model perfectly embodies the refined craftsmanship and innovative spirit of Murano glassmaking during the interwar period. Elegant and highly collectible. Dimensions: 31 cm diameter × 38 cm height.
