About the Item
French Art Nouveau pot.
An attractively drip glazed pot, of bulging squat bottle form, with a very prominent and dramatic flowing brown glaze over a subtle ochre body.
Of Japanese inspiration.
Bares the incised signature of ‘Leon Pointu’, son of the celebrated potter Jean Pointu whose atelier he took over in 1918.
