Japanese Brass Ikebana Vase, Early 20th Century
About the Item
A fabulous Ikebana brass vase, hand-crafted in Japan, Showa Period. Oval shape. The finish is Murashido, a centuries-old technique that consists in quenching the cast brass in hot oil and smoke it with rice straw, which gives the vase that beautiful mottled patina.
Signed at the bottom.
