Large Antique Apollo Silver Co. Vase with Jewels and Brass Patinated Filigree

About the Item

This large antique glass vase was made by the Apollo Silver Co. of New York in circa 1870 in the Victorian style. The clear vase is set in a brass patinated filigreed metal mount with multicolored glass inlaid jewels. The vase has a ruffled edge around the rim and is clearly marked on the bottom "Apollo Silver Co.", of New York. This company merged with two other companies in 1872 which helps to date it and later works were done under the name of Apollo Studios.
