About the Item
A large antique Japanese Meiji period enamel vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a narrow neck. The vase is enameled with a polychrome image of butterflies made in the Cloisonne technique on cobalt blue ground. Probably numbered on the bottom. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
