Large Art Deco Ceramic Vase in Orange-Red-Black-Beige by Boch Frères Belgium 30s

About the Item

"Large vase Boch Frères (la Louviere) & La Maitrise" from 1938. "Art Deco Vase Boch Frères Keramis Signed [d 1065] (Catalog: Art Deco Vases 1930)". The vase comes from the Atelier de Fantaisie of Charles Catteau in La Louvière. Large stoneware vase with egg-shaped body and curved neck. Stylized decor of flowers and stems in orange and red and black bordered cloisonné on milky white craquelé background and black neck. The black border of the orange-red decor is matte, the rest of the surface is glossy. Therefore, the applied decor appears even more vivid. Signed with the factory stamp and marked La Maîtrise. Diamter opening: 7.0cm Diameter bottom: 10.0cm Object in perfect condition.

    Fantastic modern Murano glass vase crafted in matt deep red glass shaped like a pear. The whole surface is finished in "Battuto-technique", fine grinding in linear design. Signed by Pino Signoretto. Biography Pino Signoretto Born September 28, 1944 in Favaro Veneto. 1954 He worked for a muranese glass chandelier souvenir manufacturer. 1959 Apprenticeship with master glassblower Alfredo Barbini and works with the master Livio Seguso, Ermanno Nason, and Angelo Seguso. 1960 He got the title of master glassblower. 1961-77 he worked in different factories, to get full technical knowledge of glass. 1978 Signoretto opens his own furnace showroom in Murano. 1978 – 84 He collaborates with artists and architects, Dalì, Licata, Dal Pezzo, Vitali, Pomodoro, Willson. 1985 Signoretto undertakes the first of a long series of trips to Japan. 1989 He participates in a demostration for the japanese imperial family. Exhibition at Museo dell'Arte Veneziana in Otaru Japan. Works for Dale Chihuly - Seattle U.S.A. The shape is slightly squashed and the object has an oval mouth. Biography: Romano Donà born in Murano 1956.
