Large Earthenware Vase with Fish Decor, France, circa 1950s

About the Item

Vase of large proportions, decorated with a pair of colourful fish on a black background, on either side of the handles. The movement of the handles is continued almost down to the base on either side, in a tapering, squiggly line. An appliqued frieze of waves runs around the base of the neck. Possibly from Vallauris. Weighs approximately 15 kilos.
