Large French ormolu and cut glass vase French, 20th Century Height 80cm, diameter 36cm This extraordinary glass and ormolu (gilt bronze) vase was crafted in 20th century France. Its body employs fluted cut glass that transitions from a rich ruby red colour to a clear base leading up to a tulip neck adorned with a dazzling ormolu border featuring egg and dart motifs. Delicately embellished beneath the flawless facets, the fluted socle showcases exquisite details of egg and dart motifs, foliage, and intricate beading. The vase stands on an ornate ormolu plinth, its sides adorned with scrolling patterns. Crafted with utmost quality, this glass vase is a remarkable centrepiece on its own, but it can also be adorned with a floral arrangement to further enhance its design.
