Beautiful large hand turned "Paquime Pottery" black vase / olla by Lydia Quezada for Mata Ortiz, circa 2000s. The piece has exquisite detail and a unique top portion; it is in very good condition with no chips or cracks and measures a substantial 7"D x 12"H. #2139
The black pot is the signature style of Lydia Quezada Celado who is Juan Quezada's youngest sister. Lydia is one of the top potters from Mata Ortiz and won second place in the "Black Clay Category" of the 23rd Mata Ortiz Concurso in 2020. This is an excellent high quality piece!
