Marcello Fantoni Signed Mid-Century Italian Raymor Oxblood Glazed Ceramic Vase

About the Item

A beautifully designed, quite large, exceptionally rare oxblood red glazed ceramic/pottery vase by Italian ceramics master and renowned designer Marcello Fantoni for Raymor. Again a very rare and hard to find size, shape and radiant red glaze. We have not found another like it. Signed "Fantoni" on the base with numeric notation and "Italy". A beautiful, engaging piece. Would be a great addition to any Fantoni or Mid-Century Modern ceramics or art collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent piece in about any setting. Fantoni's ceramic works are held in many private collections and museums throughout the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York, the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of fine Art of Boston, the Currier Gallery, the Syracuse Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, the City Art Gallery of Manchester, at Royal Scottish Museum of Edinburg, the Museum of Modern Art of Tokyo and Kyoto, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, the National Bargello Museum and at the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe of the Uffizi. Vase dimensions: 14" high, 10" wide, 10" deep
