Mid-Century Modern West German Pottery Vase by Dieter Peter for Carstens

About

This beautiful vase was designed by Dieter Peter for Carstens Tonnieshof in the late 1960s to early 1970s. Carstens are considered by many, to have been the best producers of west German pottery and Dieter Peters was the top designer of that era. His only rival at that time was Bodo Mans who was working for Bay Keramik, another highly regarded west German manufacturer. Dieter, along with Bodo Mans, was famous for designing bold patterns and bright glazes. This piece is from the 'Luxus' range and is shape number 7694 - 35.
