Murano Sommerso Orange Yellow Glowing Uranium Italian Art Glass Flower Vase
About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso bright orange and yellow Italian art glass oval flower vase. Attributed to designer Antonio da Ros for the Cenedese company. Similar to Seguso Vetri d'Arte pieces as well. It still retains a partial paper label underneath, but does not tell me much. The vase has an oval shape to the body, flattened on the sides, and made with very thick glass. Also has a thin rounded flared rim at the top. Created with a very high Uranium UV reactive glass content, as the vase glows a bight neon green under a black light (see photo). Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Mid-century era. Measures 8" tall x 5 3/4" long x 4" wide.
