Pair of French Art Nouveau Vases by Alfonse Cytere Green Ochre Navy Blue

About the Item

Pair of French Art Nouveau vases by Alfonse Cytere of Rambervillers green ochre navy blue Two very attractive ceramic vases by Alfonse Cytere made at his Rambervillers works, in the form of gourds, of Japanese inspiration with complimentary flowing glasses. The pots are matching in size and shape but have distinctive individual glaze effects and complimentary colour tones. It is always much more of a rare find to get a pair of ceramics together. Unique specimens as no two pieces’s glazes would ever give the same results. One is clearly signed with Cytere’s name stamp plus ‘Unis France’, and on the other the mark is not visible due to the glaze flowing partly over the base.     Please note flash photography has been used, items colour may slightly altered slightly or appear lighter. Please note measurements are slightly tricky to calculate for pottery of unique shape, so they may be slightly in or out depending.
