Exquisite Japanese contemporary museum quality signed Kutani porcelain vase, intricately hand painted in Ko-Kuatani (old Kutani) traditional five colors of mustard yellow, purple, green, blue and red. It is a masterpiece by master porcelain artist from the Kutani region in Japan. Kutani has a history of producing very fine porcelain pieces for over 360 years. The artist has created a mesmerizing background in an intricate fish scale pattern in Ko-Kutani mustard yellow that is decorated with three striking panels showcasing birds, flowers and shishi lion in the beloved Ko-Kutani colors. The auspicious fish scale pattern represents waves. A wish for a lasting peaceful life, as waves that continue to repeat in the vast ocean. This stunning porcelain vase comes in a custom-made wooden case. Dimensions: H 9.5 in, D 6.5 in.
