A rare vintage collectiable and crystal "Unik" vase. Swedish modernism design, made by Göran Wärff for Boda, Sweden. This is handmade by the artist using a very special technique where the object looks as if it has cracked or textured making every piece very special and unique, which is what "Unik" means in Swedish. The colors are an iridescent blue to a fantastic green all covered with clear crystal. Ideal for wedding gift or for a special birtday. It is 22cm (8,66") high and around 12cm (4,72") in diameter, it is in a very good condition. NOTE that it is very heavy with a weight of 3950g, (8.70 lbs), it is very elegant and in a very good condition. The price includes free shipping. Kosta has a long and old history yet became leading when it came to mid-century modern art glass due to some of Scandinavia’s most renowned designers such as Bertil Vallien, Mona Morales, Monica Backström, Göran Wärff and Ulrika Hydman-Vallien. They focused on functionality as well as interesting and groundbreaking interior design in the 1970s-80s. However, this was only possible due to a previous outstanding mid-century modern designer; Vicke Lindström. The history and development of Kosta’s art and design glass. The factory is situated in what is known as the Chrystal Kingdom region in Sweden.
