About the Item

We have a unique Japanese aesthetic sense. And only we can introduce unique items through our purchasing channels in Japan and the experience we have gained so far, in such a way that no one else can imitate. This is an old Korean pottery. Korea was once divided into three kingdoms (1st century B.C. to 7th century A.D.). This pottery was mainly made in Silla, one of the three kingdoms, a large country that included present-day Seoul. Soft unglazed earthenware, which was fired at low temperatures during the Three Kingdoms period, began to be fired at high temperatures around the middle of the 4th century. Firing at high temperatures of over 1000 degrees Celsius makes the pottery harder and more resistant to cracking. The color of the pottery is light or dark gray. When tapped with a finger, it makes a metallic sound. It was used for practical purposes, ritual vessels, and also as burial objects for powerful people. It is believed to date from the 6th to 9th centuries. A pot with a similar shape was published in the art book, so I will post the image. There is a sticker on the bottom of this jar. This is an item that indicates that it was imported from Korea to Japan in the past. It is a seal of non-cultural property certification. It indicates that this is a genuine pottery that has been excavated. This jar-shaped item has an orthodox design. It is a very primitive design with few extra decorations. The color is also calm gray, so it is suitable for any space. The edge of the mouth is a little chipped, but there are no major cracks. The condition is relatively good. I put about 1/3 of the water in it and left it for about 5 hours, but it didn't leak. Why not add it to your antique collection? Weight: 0.95kg.
