About Bareuther:
Bareuther pottery was established in Waldsassen, Bavaria in 1866 by Johann Mathäus Riess. At the turn of the century the factory gained an excellent reputation, merged with Gareis, Kühnl & Cie in 1969. They continued production as Porzellanfabrik Waldsassen Bareuther & Co until 1994, when they ceased operations.
