About the Item
Wonderful Mid-Century Modern glass vase in the style of British glass manufacturer, Whitefriars Glass, circa 1970s. This beautiful bright red vase brings a touch of fun and fantasy to any room with it's whimsical textured 'tree bark' form captured in vivid, vibrant ruby red coloured / colored mouth blown molded glass fading to dark red with an outer layer of clear glass.
Ingrid Glas produced similar designs to those found amongst Whitefriars Glass of the same era and she has been referred to as the Nanny Stil of Germany.
It would appear that these, Whitefriars, influenced vases and vessels would have been made in Japan. They are very good quality as one would expect with Japanese made goods.
