An Art Deco rare and whimsical hand painted cocktail shaker by American artist John Held, Jr. Decorated with his iconic images of a flapper and a max in tux drinking. The title is, "Hoorah." The chrome top is in two pieces; the shaker with holes, and the cap. The shaker is signed John Held Jr. and is dated 1932. John Held Jr. was one of the most important and influential illustrators of the Jazz Age. His illustrations appeared on hundreds of magazine covers. Good condition with age appropriate wear. One tiny dent on the cap.
