Georgian Rummer Drinking Glass Hand Blown with Ball Knop, English circa 1810

About the Item

The glass is hand blown and made from heavy lead glass, having a soft greyish colour. It has a large "ogee" open conical shaped bowl, over a basal knife knop leading to a short thick solid stem with a ball knop above a nice conical foot, having a snapped off pontil below. There are two small grit inclusions to the lower bowl. Dimensions: Rim diameter 4.2 inches Foot rim diameter 3.4 inches Height 5.5 inches. No damage. The glass has a very good ring to it when tapped with a finger. .
