French Empire Gilt Silver Epergne, c1805

About the Item

This beautiful French early 19th century gilt sterling silver epergne is decorated with classical female figures, cherubs, dragon flies, and Egyptian heads, it stands on hoofed feet. The lid is adorned with a handle of silver grapes while the body has a pair of twisted silver ring handles. A beautiful accessory for a side board or console table. N.P. Trent has been a respected name in antiques for over 30 years with a large collection of period furniture, art and decorative accessories.
