Anne Dangar, Double Handled Ceramic Jug, France, circa 1940s

$12,000

About

Produced at the Moly-Sabata artists' collective, this two-handled ceramic jug takes cues from antiquity, paying homage to classical heritage in form and palette. The design may reflect the influence of Albert Gleizes, an important mentor to Dangar, and an artist who influenced her work tremendously. Signed MSD [Moly-Sabata Dangar] at base.
