WHY WE LOVE IT: Sometimes the smallest thing gives you the most pleasure. We are pleased to offer this creamware figure of a boy made in 18th century England deaccessioned from Colonial Williamsburg. He is decorated with oxide glazes used in the 18th century. Standing at rest, he wears a green jacket, ochre colored pants, and a brown cap. Made circa 1780 he is a wonderful example of the simplicity and naivete of 18th century Staffordshire figures. His expression is contemplative, the work is done. His cheek in his palm, he rests on his shovel; thoughtful and endearing. Dimensions: 4.2 inches tall Condition: Excellent Price: $500.
