Bauhaus Kitchen Food Container Set by Theodor Bogler

About

This Bauhaus Kitchen food container set was designed by Theodor Bogler for the kitchen of Eduard Muche's legendary case study house "Haus am Horn" for the first Bauhaus Exhibition in 1923. In 1924 these prototypes went in serial production in the "Steingutfabriken Velten Vordamm" only footsteps away from the HB-Werkstätten für Keramik in Marwitz/Velten nearby Berlin. This is where they are manufactured today in precisely the same work process with original forms. Bogler himself worked here in the mid-1930s. 3 items were designed: a oil or vinegar bottle, a big and a small food container. The typo of the content description is unique and was probably designed by Muche himself. Having emerged directly from the Bauhaus, HB Workshop (HBW) is the only manufacturer that produces fine designer ceramics by incorporating and reinterpreting original forms. Handmade stoneware of the highest quality is manufactured in limited quantity at the workshops located in Marwitz on the outskirts of Berlin, Germany. HBW is ultimately known for the perfection of simplicity, allowing for a variety of combinations of shapes, design and decor.
