"Careyes"2019 (hand cast pigmented slip)) Measures: 40cms tall x 35 cms wide x 2 cms thick Edition of 25 pieces. This is a piece from the UNBUILT MEXICO project. This is an edition series of fine art ceramics featuring works by five of Mexico´s most important modern and contemporary architects. This piece is design by Gabriela Carrillo and Mauricio Rocha. Taller de Arquitectura was established in 1991 in Mexico City by Mauricio Rocha, and in 2012 he joined with Gabriela Carrillo. Together they work to develop contemporary architecture sensitive to context and environment, combining local materials with state of the art technology. This ceramic panel they created for this project reflects this focus on material and monastic repetitive decoration.
