(b. 1931). Cushing creates utilitarian vessels reflecting his interest in function. This bowl, inspired by natural forms has a rich brown glaze and an interior spiral design. Cushing's work is represented in the collections of many museums including the Smithsonian, the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Cooper-Hewitt.
