Early 20th Century French French Porcelain Plate by Paul Milet

About the Item

A French porcelain hand-painted plaque by Paul Milet created in the early 20th century. This plaque, created by Sèvres ceramicist Paul Milet in the early 20th century, features a heron in flight over a marsh landscape. Milet's plaque highlights the ceramic medium’s balance between decorative and utilitarian: with the central scene expertly painted in bright enamels and outlined in a faux cloisonne technique, it functions more as a painting than a plate. Dimensions: 11 7/8 in. Dm x 1 1/4 in. H (30.2 cm Dm x 3.2 cm H) Condition: Excellent visual condition. Professional invisible restoration to the rim glaze on the upper half of the plate.
